Grey Shell Cowl

This simple cowl crochets up really fast, and will keep you cozy through the winter.
I used two skeins of Simply Soft in Stormy Weather with an I hook.
Ch 100, join without turning.

Row 1: ch 1, sc in every ch around, join to ch 1 with sl st

Row 2: ch 1, sc in every sc around, join to ch 1 with sl st

Row 3: ch 3, *sk next 3 sc, 4 dc in next sc; rep from * to end to last sc, 3 dc in last sc, join to top of beg ch 3 with sl st

Row 4: ch 1, sc in every dc around, join to ch 1 with sl st

Row 5: ch 3, 3 did in same st, *sk next 3 sc, 4 dc in next sc; rep from * to end to last 3 sc, sk last 3 sc, join to top of beg ch 3 with sl st

Row 6: ch 1, sc in every dc around, join to ch 1 with sl st

Rep rows 3-6 until your cowl is nearly the desired length. Then repeat row 4 twice, to finish with another two rows of sc.
Fasten off, and weave in all ends.
This yarn ranges from a nice grey to black, making it neutral to match many outfits. My finished cowl is 28" around and 16" tall.
Enjoy this pattern!
Xoxo, Alyssa
