Emphasis Cowl
This bold, magenta cowl has a thick cable running through one side, placing the emphasis of the cowl on the cable and the emphasis of your outfit on this cowl. 
I used two skeins of Loops & Threads Charisma in Fuschia with size 15 needles.
This is a braided cable, one of my favorites to do.

CO 88, long tail. Join without turning.
Row 1,2,4,5,6,8: p20, k18, p42
Row 3: p20, sl next 6 sts to cn, hold in back, k6, k6 from cn, k6, p42
Row 7: p20, k6, sl next 6 sts to cn, hold in front, k6, k6 from cn, p42
Rep rows 1-8 until you have the desired width. After a row 2, BO loosely.
Weave in all ends, and you're finished!
This cowl is 30" around and 17" tall.

Love this color! This cowl looks very pretty. I'm wondering if you could post a pic with it laid out completely, just to see how it lays. Also, what type of yarn is this, Colton? I just purchased a linen/silk blend and wondered if it would work.
ReplyDeleteThis yarn is acrylic. Sometimes linen/ silk type yarns give a lot of stitch definition, so it would look different from mine, since the acrylic is sort of fuzzy and blends the stitches a little bit.
